“2nd Annual Best of UpCountry ”
Farm to Table Event
Saturday June 2nd 9-4 at Surfing Goat Dairy

         

The 2nd Annual “Best of UpCountry” will be held again this year at Surfing Goat Dairy in Kula on Saturday, June 2, 2007 from 9 am to 5 pm. “Our visitors and vendors encouraged us last year to do it again,” says Thomas Kafsack, owner of the Maui dairy. “They all loved the wonderful food and crafts, the reasonable prices and the unique upcountry atmosphere.”

The cooking demonstrations with free sampling will set new highlights this year with Chef Paul Luna - Ferarrro’s, Four Seasons Maui, Chef Ryan Luckey - The Pineapple Grill at Kapalua, Chef John Zaner - The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, Chef Juan Gomez - Penne Pasta, Chef Rory Butts - Sarento’s on the Beach and Chef Chris Speere - MCC, Culinary Dept. leading the list. But leave room for all the wonderful food you can buy at the food
booths and for Maui’s best Lilikoi cheese cake.

Chris Galfas will be providing live music entertainment.

Families with kids will love the goat petting area, the already famous water slide (bring towels and dry cloths), pony rides, face painting and for sure again Ben’s shaved ice.

Entrance fee will be again $20 per car and a donation of pet food for the animal shelter at the Maui Humane Society is appreciated.
